Let’s talk about goal setting for a minute.
There are so many ways to set goals.
There are tons of videos on how to set goals on the web, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.
There’s no one right way to do it.
I’m gonna share with you my way.
It’s the 5 W’s and H. That’s how I remember it.
A simple recap for you here in case you don’t remember or don’t know – – I’ve had three brain injuries. At ages 2,6, 40.
So for me to remember things, I keep it really simple. In this case 5 W’s and H.
First W – What. I define what the goal is.
Second W – Who. I define who is involved.
Third W – Where. I define where the goal happens.
Fourth W – When. I define when the goal will be accomplished.
Fifth W – Why. It’s the most important W of all. Why creates the passion, the courage, the persistence, the consistency, the determination, the intention, the anticipation, and that creates clues to the last letter…
H – How. I believe when the Why is clear, crrystal clear, the How either makes itself known, or you do what it takes to learn it.
In another blog, I’ll focus completely on the How.
But for now, let me just say once you know your WHY, the rest is easy.
