Your Journey Success Strategy
Let me be the first one to admit it…having the CONFIDENCE to change is hard. It’s just easier to keep doing the same things, the same way. Why rock the boat? Things aren’t so bad after all, are they?
Let’s use the analogy of taking a Journey.
So what’s the first thing we do? We decide we are going somewhere. Next would be to decide where we are going. Then we would decide how we are going to get there. Maybe we decide to go on a cruise-ship.
We would look on the web for locations we want to visit and then figure out which cruise line goes there.
Once we have decided on a route, we would need to pick a date for when we are going to leave. We would also need to pick a date for when we would be returning home. And then…after all that was clarified and decided, we would need to be patient until that day came along.
Finally that day arrives and we board the ship. We are setting our sights on the adventure. We know where we are going, how long we will be gone, which route we are going to take and why we are going.
The captain says we are ready to go. What is the most important thing that comes next? We need to pick up our anchor and get detached from the sea floor.
We cannot discover new oceans until we have the confidence to lose sight of the shore-Gerar Toye
Whether your JOURNEY is losing weight, getting more exercise, reaching out to a new client, or having shorter or longer business meetings…it’s all about having the CONFIDENCE to take the journey.
WHEN YOU CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK … YOU THINK THE WAY TO CHANGE.

Here’s your JOURNEY SUCCESS STRATEGY.
The first thing we need to do is decide WHY we are going to take the journey.
The next thing we need to do is decide to take the journey.
Then the next step is to decide what we want the journey to be. (Where are we going? It would be kind of hard to go on a journey if we weren’t very specific about our destination).
Next is to have a specific plan on how we will achieve the goal of the journey.. (GPS, others experience, web resources, books). We need to set a start date for this journey, and a date for its achievement.
Remember a vital step is clarifying why we are taking this course of action…what is the reward for this journey?
The fear of not taking the journey needs to be greater than the fear of taking the journey.
And the most important step of all. It’s the one that holds most of us back on a continual basis. That step is having the confidence to let go.
It is releasing the anchor from our past. It is deciding to look at life with new eyes. It is willing to look at the unknown future with faith as well as hope.
